Refer to the Dial ParameterSettings List below to determine which settings you may needto change, then refer to “Changing Your Dial ParameterSettings” part of this section to make the change.Dial Parameter Settings List1 REDIAL TRIESThis function controls how many times your fax machineautomatically redials a number that is busy or does notanswer.Available settings are from 0 to 10 tries.Default: 3 tries.2 REDIAL INTERVALThis function controls how long your fax machine waitsbetween each automatic redial attempt.Available settings are from 1 to 6 minutes.Default: 3 minutes.3 DIAL TONE DETECTThis function allows your fax machine to wait for anddetect a dial tone before proceeding with dialing.Available settings are ON and OFF.Default: OFF.4 BUSY TONE DETECTThis function allows your fax machine to detect a busytone when sending a fax.Available settings are ON and OFF.Default: ON.5 MF(TONE)/DP (PULSE)This function sets the dialing method. Use the MF settingfor Touch-Tone dialing, or the DP setting for pulse dialing.Default: MF (TONE).6 PBX LINETurn this function on if your fax machine is connected to aPBX (Private Branch Exchange—a phone system used toroute internal calls). Once this function has been turned onand the access digit function has been programmed usingthe Dial Prefix parameter (below), your fax machine
