26.1 Weather application overviewThe weather application overlays historical, live, andforecasted weather graphics on a world map.The weather application can only be used in NorthAmerica and its coastal waters.The weather application graphics and theirassociated weather data enable you to determinethe actual conditions in the vicinity of your vessel,or at a particular location.Weather forecasts and warnings, detailing bothcurrent and predicted conditions, are regularlyupdated in the weather application.Note: For types of warnings, watches, andadvisories, refer to the NOAA website atwww.nws.noaa.govDisclaimer — advisory onlyThe weather information is subject to serviceinterruptions and may contain errors or inaccuraciesand consequently should not be relied uponexclusively. This informationcan be obtained from the homescreen Set-upmenu by selecting the device from the selectdevices page: Set-up > Maintenance >Diagnostics > Select Device >• Using your ESN contact SiriusXM(www.siriusxm.com) to subscribe for Sirius MarineWeather (www.siriusxm.com/marineweather).When viewing the multifunction display's weatherapplication, the ESN may be accessed from thefollowing menu: Menu > Sirius ESN.• You must be navigating within US coastal waters.• Your multifunction display must obtain a GPS fixon your vessels location.• You must specify the weather graphics that youwant to display in the weather application.Accessing the weather applicationTo access the weather application on yourmultifunction display follow the step below:From the homescreen:1.
