8–18 - Library functionsThis section introduces the principles of operatingthe library functions for the following settings whichcan be edited, stored and recalled:• snapshots• dynamics processor settings• equalization settings• effect processor settingsThe way in which these library functions are carriedout are similar for all of these, except for the snap-shot functions, which are slightly different, and areexplained separately. Each library has a number of preset memory loca-tions, and a number of user memories:The preset memory locations in each library are“read-only” and cannot be overwritten by user set-tings. However, they may be recalled, and used asstarting points for user settings, with the editedparameters being stored in a user location. Each library is independent of the other libraries;entries allocated for one library cannot be used byanother library.Library settings can be stored “offline” using MIDISystem Exclusive data dumps to MIDI data filingdevices or suitably-equipped personal computers.8.1 Snapshot memoriesSnapshot memories may be stored and recalled fromalmost any display screen. There are two dedicatedkeys for the store and recall of snapshots (STOREand RECALL) in addition to the + and – keys whichare used to step through the snapshot memories. All digital audio parameters are stored as part of asnapshot library entry. However, I/O setup parame-ters, including clock source, analog audio settings(analog trim, phantom power, mic/line switching, etc.) are not stored as part of a snapshot library entry. The SNAPSHOT key is used to display the snapshotlibrary screen, allowing renaming, etc. of snapshotlibrary entries, as explained below.8.1.1 Snapshot 00This snapshot is a special case. It resets all settings toa “neutral” snapshot. All faders are set to nominal levels, and pan controlsare set to center, etc.Specifically:Snapshots (all digitalsettings)1 pre-set “neutral” setting; 60 usersettingsEffector (internal effectprocessor)51 pre-set settings, 77 user settingsEQ (channel equalizationsettings)20 preset settings, 80 user settingsDynamics (channelcompression and gating)20 pre-set settings, 80 user settingsItem ValueEQ switch ONEQ gain (all bands) 0dBEQ frequency (LO/LM/LH/HI) 99 Hz/1 kHz/4 kHz/10.1 kHzEQ Q (LO/LM/LH/HI) L.SHELF/8.65/8.65/H.SHELFFader level 0dBCut OFFAux send levels (all) –∞Aux pre/post (Aux 1,2 only ) POSTAux ON/OFF ONPan/BAL CENTERImage width STEREO100%MONO switch STEREOSurround L-R CENTERSurround F-R F45Surround L-R Div 100%Surround F-R Div 100%SUB level 0dBAux master levels 0dBAux master link OFFAux master cut OFFBuss level 0dBBuss links OFFBuss cuts OFFDynamics on/off OFFDynamics type COMPDynamics parametersTHRESH/RATIO/ATTACK/RELEASE/OUTGAIN/AUTO-MAKEUP0dB/ –∞:1 /5ms/5ms/0dB/OFFDynamics links OFF (except for ST IN 1 and 2)Dynamics trigger (not shownas link is off) BOTHEffect in 0dBEffect type REVERBEffect (as Library 1) ROOMTYPE/REV TIME/PREDELAY/DIFFUSIONHALL/3.4sec/52ms/125Link OFFPad level 0dBPhase switch NormalPan gang OFFSample delay 0sampleDelay switch OFFBuss assignments No Assign
