8 - Library functions—Other libraries8–68.2.2 Recalling a library entry1 If the library entry to be recalled is an EQ ordynamics processor library entry, select theappropriate module to which the libraryentry settings will be applied.2 Press the appropriate library key: EFFECT,EQ or DYNAMICS.3 Making sure that the lower center part of thescreen points to the right (use the SHUTTLEwheel to change it if necessary), use the JOGdial to scroll through the list of libraryentries.As the list is scrolled, the appropriate display(response curve, effect type or gain) is shownabove the list.4 Move the cursor to the on-screen RECALLbutton and press ENTER.8.2.3 Storing a library entry1 If the library entry to be stored is an EQ ordynamics processor library entry, select themodule which contains the settings which areto be stored.2 Press the appropriate library key: EFFECT,EQ or DYNAMICS.3 Making sure that the lower center part of thescreen points to the right (use the SHUTTLEwheel to change it if necessary), use the JOGdial to scroll through the list of libraryentries.4 move the cursor to the on-screen STOREbutton and press ENTER.If the library entry currently contains data, amessage appears on screen asking whetherthe existing data should be overwritten.If an attempt is made to store settings to apreset library entry (marked by an inverse Rfollowing the library entry number) anappropriate error message is displayed on apopup window.8.2.4 Copying a library entryAlthough there is no dedicated copy function pro-vided for library entries, it is easy to recall settingsfrom a library entry and store them, unchanged, intoanother library entry.8.2.5 Naming a library entryThe principles of naming and renaming libraryentries are identical to those used for snapshot librar-ies (8.1.5, “Naming a snapshot”). see this section fordetailed instructions of how to use the naming andrenaming functions.Names are retrieved from the existing list of namesand copied to the name editing area. The cursor isused to move around the list of available charactersto edit the name, which is then copied over to thelibrary list.8.2.6 Storing and recalling library entriesusing MIDIThe MIDI System Exclusive data dump facilities canbe used to store and recall these library entries aswell as snapshot library entries.Note that only user memories may be transferred inthis way—it is not possible to dump or restore thepreset memory settings.Data settings that may be dumped and restored,therefore, are:1 Make sure that the CommunicationSpeed in the AutomationSetup screen is set to MIDI.
