The image is saved in a special protected/unmountedpartition, /XRXBackup, on the Xerox FreeFlow Print Server harddisk, SCSI tape drive, or Unix file system.How big are the files?Configuration files can be very small, depending upon the optionsselected during the backup.The System Backup partition is set at 10 Gbytes specifically forthe system image.Where are the files saved?Configuration files may be saves to any available Xerox FreeFlowPrint Server location, including the local hard disk or a sharednetwork drive.System files can only be saved to the /XRXBackup partition on theXerox FreeFlow Print Server hard drive.How long does the process take?Depending upon the number and size of the items to be saved, aconfiguration backup can be very short or very long.A system backup may take over an hour to complete.What schedule should be used?Configuration information should be backed up weekly or moreoften as necessary. Multiple versions of the files may bemaintained for future use. Saving a small set of very importantitems can make the process very fast.System information should be backed up bi-weekly or monthly.Only one version of the system image can be maintained at atime.TroubleshootingActivity loggingThe file backup.log is used to record backup activities.
