Thiswill allow you to temporarily adjust the receive fre-quency up to ±9.995 kHz with the [CLAR/VFO-B]knob. Press this button once more to return the re-ceiver to the original frequency; the Clarifier offsetwill be remembered, in case you want to use it again.To cancel the Clarifier offset, press the [CLEAR]button.Pressing the [VFO-B/CLAR] button followed bythis switch will change the tuning rate of the [CLAR/VFO-B] knob (VFO-B) to 100 Hz/step.When this function is activated, “FAST” appears inthe TFT display.[MODE] SwitchThis button selects the operating mode. The selec-tions available are:LSB à CW (USB) à RTTY (LSB) àà DATA (LSB) à AM à LSB àRepeated presses of this button steps through theavailable selections.Pressing and holding this button will toggle to thealternate mode.For example, In the LSB or USB modes, a longpress of this button toggles between “LSB” and“USB” mode.[MHz/μT] SwitchPressing this button allows you to tune the VFO fre-quency down or up in 1 MHz increments, using the[CLAR/VFO-B] knob.Pressing and holding this switch for one second al-lows you to adjust the center frequency of the RFμ-Tuning filter passband using the [CLAR/VFO-B]knob, when the optional RF μ-Tuning Kit is con-nected. While activated, the LED inside this buttonglows red. Press and hold in the [MHz/μT] switchfor one second to toggle the μ-Tuning function on/off.
