Additionally, it is used to adjustthe functions selected with three buttons locatedaround the knob.effectRotate the [CLAR/VFO-B] knob to adjustthe VFO-B frequency, in the same stepas the Main Tuning Dial knob.Rotate the [CLAR/VFO-B] knob to selectthe memory group.Rotate the [CLAR/VFO-B] knob to tunethe VFO frequency in 1 MHz step.Rotate the [CLAR/VFO-B] knob to selectthe memory channel.fuNctioNSwitch[(VFO-B)RX][GRP][MHz][MCH][TX CLAR] SwitchPressing this button activates the TX Clarifier, to al-low offsetting the transmit frequency temporarily.Press this button once more to return the transmit-ter to the original frequency; the Clarifier offsetwill be remembered, though, in case you want touse it again. To cancel the Clarifier offset, press the[CLEAR] button.Press the [VFO-B/CLAR] button followed by thisswitch toggles locking on/off for the [CLAR/VFO-B] knob (VFO-B). With “Lock” on, the [CLAR/VFO-B] knob can still be turned, but the frequencywill not change, and the “LOCK” appears in the dis-play.[CLEAR] SwitchPressing this button clears out any frequency offsetyou have programmed into the Clarifier register(thereby setting the offset to “Zero”).[VFO-B/CLAR] SwitchPressing this button will permit adjustment of theoperating frequency of VFO-B, using the [CLAR/VFO-B] knob.[MCH/GRP] SwitchMCHPressing this button allows you to select a memorychannel using the [CLAR/VFO-B] knob.GRPPressing this button allows you to select a memorygroup by turning the [CLAR/VFO-B] knob.
