18Before Using the TransceiverNames and Functions of Controlsy BACKTRACK ScreenPressing the key displays the BACKTRACK screen.• The compass setting is displayed to the upper left of thecompass icon. “H-UP” indicates the vehicle directionof travel is shown at the top of the compass. “N-UP” isshown when the compass is set to always indicate Northat the top. To change the compass setting, enter Setmode, then select [DISPLAY] → [2 HEADING UP].• Upon retrieval of the registered position information, thedistance from the current position is displayed the upperright of the compass icon.• Touching [YR] displays the position of the receivedstation on the compass icon (only when the receivedsignal carries the position information).• Touching [MY] displays your station’s heading directionon the compass icon.• Touching [MEM] switches to the registration mode torecord.• Touching [★] displays the position information registeredwith the “★” tag. Touching “★” while flashing, stores theposition information displayed on the compass icon in thememory with a “★” tag.• Touching [L1] displays the position information registeredwith the “L1” tag.
