Instrumentation and Controls. . . 196Root DirectoryThe root directory will be treatedas a folder.• If the root directory of theMP3/WMA disc containscompressed audio files, thedirectory will be displayed asF1 MP3.• If the root directory of aUSB storage device containscompressed audio files, thedirectory will be displayed asF1 USB.All files contained directly underthe root directory will be accessedprior to any root directory folders.Empty Directory or FolderIf a root directory or a folder isempty or contains only folders, theplayer will automatically advanceto the next folder in the file struc-ture that contains a compressedaudio file. The empty folder(s) willnot be displayed or numbered.No FolderWhen the disc or USB storagedevice only contains compressedaudio files without any folders, thenext and previous folder functionswill have no function.When the disc or USB storagedevice only contains compressedaudio files without any folders, allfiles will be located under the rootfolder.F1 MP3 or F1 USB will appear onthe display as the name of the fold-er.Order of PlayThe first track under the root direc-tory will play first. When all thetracks from the root directory havebeen played, the remaining trackswill play in the order of theirnumerical listing. When the lasttrack of the last folder has beenplayed, play will continue with thefirst track in the first folder or rootdirectory.When a track from a new folderbegins to play, the new trackname will be displayed. However,if folder mode has been chosen asthe default display mode, the fold-er name will be displayed.
