Make sure there are noobstructions on either side ofthe vehicle that could preventthe hood from being securelylatched.Note:Always latch the right side ofthe hood first.CAUTIONYou or others could be injuredwhen the hood is lowered orlatched.Be sure to keep fingers andother body parts away from theedge of the hood and fenders.14. Place both hands on top ofright corner of the hood nearthe windshield and push thehood down quickly.If the hood does not latch,push down again with slightlymore force until the hood islatched securely.15. Repeat the previous steps tolatch the left side of the hood.16. Pull up on the rear corners ofthe hood to make sure thehood is latched securely andwill not lift.CAUTIONDo not drive the vehicle if thehood is not securely latched atboth rear corners.Operating your vehicle withoutthe hood securely latched canlead to a collision resulting indamage to your vehicle, toother property, personal injuryor even death.17. Drive directly to a dealer forservice.
