Service and Maintenance. . . 438■ SERVICE PARTSIDENTIFICATION LABELThis label is located in the trunk. Itis very helpful if you ever need toorder parts. On this label, you will find thefollowing information:• the vehicle identification num-ber• the model designation• paint information• a list of all production optionsand special equipmentDo not remove this label from thevehicle.■ FUSES AND CIRCUITBREAKERSThe wiring circuits in your vehicleare protected from short circuitsby a combination of fuses, circuitbreakers and fusible thermal links. This greatly reduces the chance offires caused by electrical problems. If you ever have a problem on theroad and don’t have a spare fuse, you can borrow one that has thesame amperage. Just pick somefeature of your vehicle that youcan get along without - like theradio or cigarette lighter - and useits fuse, if it is the correct amper-age. Replace it as soon as you can.The fuse block is in the enginecompartment. There is also a fuse block located inthe trunk on the right side of thevehicle. To access the fuse block, you mustfirst open the trunk access panel.See "Rear Compartment FuseBlock" later in this section.NOTICEWhen a power loss occurs, suchas disconnecting the battery orremoving the maxifuses in thefuse block, the ElectronicThrottle Control must berecalibrated. If this is not done, the engine will not runproperly.See "Battery" earlier in thissection for information onrecalibrating the ElectronicThrottle Control.AKENG40_CTS Page 438 Wednesday, July 23, 2008 11:47 AM
