COPYRIGHT © 2000 CANON INC. 2000 2000 2000 2000 CANON iR5000/iR6000 REV.0 JULY 2000CHAPTER 4 IMAGE FORMATION SYSTEM4-42 P4.4.1 Sequence of Operations (toner supply)The toner inside the developing assembly is monitored by the developing assembly tonersensor (TS1); when it drops below a specific level, the developing assembly toner level sig-nal goes ‘0’ and is sent to the DC controller PCB.When the DC controller PCB detects the developing assembly toner level signal for 0.3sec or more, the hopper motor drive signal will be issued so that the hopper will start to sup-ply toner.The supply of toner stops when the toner inside the developing assembly reaches a spe-cific level and, as a result, the developing assembly toner level signal ‘1’ is detected for 0.7sec or more.The level of toner inside the hopper is monitored by the hopper toner sensor while toneris supplied by the hopper motor or toner is being stirred.When the toner inside the hopper drops below a specific level, the hopper toner level de-tection signal goes ‘0’.
