Do not use agold-plated wire, which has been used in the past; otherwise, image faults may occur.Further, be sure to use a strengthened polishing pad (in a blue holder) as the cleaning padfor the primary charging assembly and the transfer charging assembly.7.8.2 Removing the Wire Cleaner of the Primary Charging Assembly1) Pick the wire cleaner, and disengage thehook with a flat-blade screwdriver.F04-708-017.8.3 Routing the Charging WireAll charging wires (except the grid wire) are routed more or less in the same way; the fol-lowing cites the primary charging assembly:1) Remove the shielding plate (left, right)of the charging assembly. To preventdeformation (slack) in the primarycharging assembly, be sure to workseparately for the left shielding plateand the right shielding plate (i.e., do notloosen the mounting screws [1] of bothshielding plates at the same time).2) Remove the wire cleaner.F04-708-02For other charging assemblies, remove the two lids.[1]
