SCP automaticallyuses the authentication methods, encryption algorithm, and data compression level configured forSSH. For example, if password authentication is enabled for SSH, the user is prompted for a username and password before SCP allows a file to be transferred. No additional configuration isrequired for SCP on top of SSH.You can use SCP to copy files on the device, including the startup configuration and runningconfiguration files, to or from an SCP-enabled remote host.SCP is enabled by default and can be disabled. To disable SCP, enter the following command.BigIron RX(config)# ip ssh scp disableSyntax: ip ssh scp disable | enableNOTEIf you disable SSH, SCP is also disabled. The following are examples of using SCP to transfer files from and to a device.BigIron RX#show whoConsole connections:established, monitor enabled, in config mode2 minutes 17 seconds in idleTelnet connections (inbound):1 closed2 closed3 closed4 closed5 closedTelnet connection (outbound):6 closedSSH connections:1 established, client ip address 192.168.144.241, user is hanuma1 minutes 16 seconds in idle2 established, client ip address 192.168.144.241, user is Mikailayou are connecting to this session18 seconds in idle3 established, client ip address 192.168.144.241, user is Jenny1 minutes 39 seconds in idle4 established, client ip address 192.168.144.242, user is Mariah41 seconds in idle5 established, client ip address 192.168.144.241, user is Logan23 seconds in idle
