Configuration Tasks for IPv6The following are configuration tasks for the IPv6 protocol.• Adjusting Your CAM-Profile• Assigning an IPv6 Address to an Interface• Assigning a Static IPv6 Route• Configuring Telnet with IPv6• SNMP over IPv6• Showing IPv6 Information• Clearing IPv6 RoutesAdjusting Your CAM-ProfileAlthough adjusting your CAM-profile is not a mandatory step, if you plan to implement IPv6 ACLs, adjust your CAM settings. The CAM space is allotted in FP blocks. The total space allocated must equal 13 FP blocks. There are 16 FP blocks, but the System Flowrequires three blocks that cannot be reallocated. You must enter the ipv6acl allocation as a factor of 2 (2, 4, 6, 8, 10). All other profile allocations can use either even or odd-numberedranges.The default option sets the CAM Profile as follows:• L3 ACL (ipv4acl): 6• L2 ACL(l2acl): 5• IPv6 L3 ACL (ipv6acl): 0• L3 QoS (ipv4qos): 1• L2 QoS (l2qos): 1To have the changes take effect, save the new CAM settings to the startup-config (write-mem or copy run start) then reload thesystem for the new settings.• Allocate space for IPV6 ACLs. Enter the CAM profile name then the allocated amount.CONFIGURATION modecam-acl { ipv6acl }When not selecting the default option, enter all of the profiles listed and a range for each. The total space allocated must equal 13.The ipv6acl range must be a factor of 2.• Show the current CAM settings.EXEC mode or EXEC Privilege modeshow cam-acl• Provides information on FP groups allocated for the egress acl.CONFIGURATION modeshow cam-acl-egressAllocate at least one group for L2ACL and IPv4 ACL.440 IPv6 Routing
