Never make any modifications to the throttle control.Never make any alternationsor modifications to any partof the throttle control sys-tem, including the throttlecontrol. Such changes renders the engine and boat war-ranties void, and may result in loss of control of the boat, which could result in serious injury or death. If, for any reason (unplugged, wire cut, a short, loss of power, orsensor failure, as examples) any part of the electronic throttle controlsystem fails, the engine controller will default to idle. The operator willessentially have no control of the throttle and the Engine Fault alarmwill activate. If this happens, the operator must turn the ignition key to OFF,and then attempt to restart the engine. This will reset the computerarea network. If the condition persists, however, it will be necessaryto take the boat to an authorized Malibu dealer for repair.Additional information regarding the throttle control’s safe opera-tion and maintenance is included in additional separate material thatis part of the new-boat informational package.Models: All models.Pylon(s)All models have apylon located between thelounge lean-back seatsand the sun deck area. These pylons, whichare intended for use inwakeboarding as well asskiing, are not intendedfor any other use.DO NOT attempt to use thepylon for any purpose otherthan towing individualsbehind the boat with anappropriate towing rope.
