Never attempt to close anoverloaded glove box. Tryingto force the lid closed couldresult in damage that is notcovered under warranty. Avoid pinching fingers, hands andother body parts while closing the glove box lid.Do not store any aerosol items in the glove box. These can over-heat and leak and/or rupture. Any liquid or semi-liquid material placedin the glove box may spill or overheat. Care should always be usedwhen placing liquids such as suntan lotion in the glove box. Malibu isnot responsible for such misjudgments.If any water does intrude into the glove box, clean it out as soonas practical. Mold and mildew can result if even small amounts of wa-ter are not removed. As with any storage location, any spills shouldbe cleaned efficiently to avoid damage and/or odors.Models: All models have a glove box located forward of andadjacent to the observer seat.Storage CompartmentsMalibu boats have multiple storage compartments available through-out the boat. In general, storage is available in the bow, gunwale andfloor. Some models will also have transom storage.Also, some modelsmay have interior lighting within the storage compartments.As much as possi-ble, gear and propertybrought on-boardshould be stowed instorage compartmentsto prevent movement ofitems during the outing.Unsecured items couldstrike and potentiallyinjure individuals on-board during operation.Be sure to distrib-ute items throughoutthe boat and compen-sate for the persons on-board. Weight should be as evenly distrib-uted throughout the boat as possible to avoid negatively affectingcontrol. Never try to close an overloaded storage compartment.Forcing a compartment closed can result in damage to the boat thatis not covered under warranty.Anything brought on-boardshould be stored in a desig-nated storage compartmentif at all possible to avoid the potential of being struckby an unsecured item while underway. This could resultin serious injury or even death. Items should be evenlydistributed and with attention to the number of passengersand where they will sit. Even distribution of added weightis critical to a safe operation.Storage compartments should be cleaned out in accordance withCare and Maintenance instructions in this Owner’s Manual. At leastannually, all compartments require a thorough cleaning. Anycooler of the same orsmaller size will fit in thesame location under theseating immediately aftof the driver’s seat, butMalibu recommendsmarine-grade coolers asthey use stainless-steelhardware, which isadvisable in the type ofatmosphere in which itwill be used. Although the supplied cooler has a liner that reducesodor absorption, it is a good idea to clean out the cooler after eachuse. Odors may still penetrate, and spills can stain.
