For symbols, see "SAFETY INDICATIONS" providedearlier.For part names described in the safety instruction chapter in this guide, refer to "Features andControls" in Chapter 2.GeneralWARNINGDo not use the workstation for services where critical high availability maydirectly affect human lives.Your workstation is not intended to be used with or control facilities or devicesconcerning human lives, including medical devices, nuclear facilities anddevices, aeronautics and space devices, transportation facilities and devices;and facilities and devices requiring high reliability. NEC assumes no liability forany accident resulting in personal injury, death, or property damage if theworkstation has been used in the above conditions.Do not use the workstation if any smoke, odor, or noise is present.If smoke, odor, or noise is present, immediately turn off the POWER/SLEEPswitch and disconnect the power plug from the outlet, then contact your servicerepresentative. Using the workstation in such conditions may cause a fire.Keep needles or metal objects away from the workstation.Do not insert needles or metal objects into ventilation holes in the workstation oropenings in the optical disk drive. Doing so may cause an electric shock.CAUTIONKeep water or foreign matter away from the workstation.Do not let any form of liquid (water etc.) or foreign matter (e.g., pins or paperclips) enter the workstation. Failure to follow this warning may cause an electricshock, a fire, or a failure of the workstation. When such things accidentally enterthe workstation, immediately turn off the power and disconnect the power plugfrom the outlet. Do not disassemble the workstation. Contact your servicerepresentative.
