1-4 Notes on Using Your WorkstationPower Supply and Power Cord UseWARNINGDo not hold the power plug with a wet hand.Do not disconnect/connect the plug while your hands are wet. Failure to followthis warning may cause an electric shock.Do not connect the ground wire to any gas pipe.Never connect the ground wire to any gas pipe.Doing so causes a gas explosion.Do not connect any earth wire with the power cord of the workstation plugged toa power source.Make sure to power off the workstation and unplug the power cord from a poweroutlet before connecting/disconnecting any earth wire to/from the workstation. Ifthe workstation is off-powered but its power cord is plugged to a power source, touching an earth wire may cause an electric shock or a fire resulted from ashort circuit.CAUTIONPlug into a proper power source.Use a proper wall outlet. Use of an improper power source may cause a fire ora power leak.Do not install the workstation where you need an extension cord. Use of a cordthat does not meet the power specifications of your workstation may heat upthe cord and cause a fire.Do not connect the power cord to an outlet that has an illegal number ofconnections. The electric current exceeding the rated flow overheats the outlet, which maycause a fire.Do not pull the cable when disconnecting it.When disconnecting the cable from the device, hold the cable connector andpull it straight out. Pulling the cable out by the cable portion or givingmechanical stress to the connector could damage the cables and connectors toresult in an electrical shock hazard or a fire.Insert the power plug into the outlet as far as it goes.Heat generation resulting from a halfway inserted power plug (imperfectcontact) may cause a fire. Heat will also be generated if condensation is formedon dusty blades of the halfway inserted plug, increasing the possibility of fire.
