7-16 MaintenanceRELOCATING/STORING THE WORKSTATIONFollow the procedure below to relocate or store the workstation:CAUTIONObserve the following instructions to use the workstation safely. Failure tofollow these instructions may cause a fire, personal injury, or propertydamage. See pages 1-3 to 1-10 for details.■ Do not install the workstation in any place other than specified.■ Do not connect any grounding line with the power cord of the workstationplugged to a power source.■ Do not connect/disconnect any interface cable with the power cord of theworkstation plugged to a power source.■ Do not use any other interface cable than authorized by NEC.IMPORTANT: If the workstation needs to be relocated/stored due to a change inthe floor layout to a great extent, contact your servicerepresentative. Make sure to make a backup copy of your valuable data in the harddisk drive, if any. Make sure not to apply a shock to hard disk drives to relocate theworkstation if the contains any.1. Take a media out of the workstation, if any.2. Power off the workstation (the POWER/SLEEP lamp goes off).3. Unplug the power cord of the workstation from a power outlet.4. Remove all the cables from the workstation.5. Protect the workstation with the shock-absorbing materials, and pack it securely.IMPORTANT: If you use the workstation after transported or relocated,check the system timer and adjust it if necessary. If the system timeradvances or delays remarkably with the passage of time, contact yourservice representative to repair it.The workstation or internal option device may be dewed if it is broughtto a warm place from a cold place suddenly. Using a workstation or aninternal device with dew attached may cause malfunction or failure.Make sure to adapt them to the operating environment before usingthem.
