This is often required for signaling remote devices, such as answeringmachines, or when reaching through to PBX features or host systems.You can program more than one pause in an external autodial or speed dialsequence.The Pause symbol (›) uses one of the 24 spaces in a dialing sequence.For pulse dialing, • inserts a 1.5 second pause into the dialing sequence.Long Tonesƒ°‚°The Long Tones feature allows you to control the length of a tone so that you cansignal devices such as fax or answering machines which require tones longer thanthe standard 120 milliseconds.1. Each tone soundsfor as long as you hold down the button.Long tones can be used on any call except a conference call.
