If the desired access code is not registered in this fax, perform theappropriate registration procedure.(Refer to “(5) Registering Access Codes”, page 4-56.)* To register an access code, you will need to enter the registeredmanagement password. Turn Restricted Access ON.(Refer to “(8) Restricted Access ON/OFF”, page 4-59.)(2) Message Display in the Initial Mode(Restricted Access is turned ON)If the fax is in the Fax Operation mode, the message shown belowwill appear in the message display.In this case, the following functions of this fax are available for use.• Printing out an Activity Report• Viewing the Communication Result Display• Dialling a fax or telephone number• Manual transmission/reception when the call is initiated by theother partyRestricted AccessBy allowing certain communication and operation only uponentry of one of the viable access codes, use of this fax – such asthe number of communications initiated – can be effectivelyscrutinized for up to 50 individual departments by printing outthe corresponding report.* It is necessary to register these access codes in advance.(Refer to “(5) Registering Access Codes”, page 4-56.)> The following methods of communication can be managedunder Restricted Access.• Standard transmission• Transmission that uses the timer• Broadcast Transmission• Transmission to a Relay Station• Polling Communication• F-Code Based Bulletin Board Communication• Encrypted Transmission• Manual transmission/reception when dialling is initiatedfrom this faxRestricted Access limits the available functions of this fax tothose individuals who enter a viable access code – or to theperson-in-charge of managing use who enters the registeredmanagement password.> The following functions of this fax are available upon enteringa viable access code.• Standard transmission• Transmission that uses the timer• Broadcast Transmission• Relay Broadcast Transmission• Polling Communication• Confidential Communication• F-Code Based Bulletin Board Communication• Encrypted Transmission• Editing a communication in memory> All functions of this fax, including registration, settings andreport/list print out, are available when you enter theregistered management password.#03:3363Enter access codeManagement:ê On*OffEnter access code* It is possible to dial a fax or telephone number or view theCommunication Result Display, as well as print out the ActivityReport, without entering an access code or the registeredmanagement password.* If Restricted Access is turned ON, only those sets ofdocuments entered using the same access code will be pooledtogether under the Batch Transmission function.Any documents that were entered using different access codeswill be sent during different transmissions.(Refer to “(8) Batch Transmission Function”, page 1-16.)* If Restricted Access Report print out is turned ON, a RestrictedAccess Report will be automatically printed out upon reaching50 individual transactions. (Refer to “Turning Report Print OutON/OFF”, page 6-2.)* Ordinarily, the registered self-station name will be displayed aspart of the TTI, but, if Restricted Access is turned ON and thetransmission is initiated by entering an access code,the id-code name corresponding to that access code will bedisplayed. If the transmission is initiated by entering themanagement password, the self-station name will be displayedas it normally is.
