l If you are going to designate this fax number for anF-Code Based Bulletin Board Polling Reception…• You CAN enter the same transmitting fax number more thanonce as long as the corresponding F-Code Boxes are different.• If you enter both fax numbers with the keypad, you CAN enterthe same transmitting fax number as one that has already beenentered (as long as one number was designated for F-CodeBased Reception and the other was NOT).• If you entered one fax number with the keypad and designate itfor F-Code Based Communication, you CAN enter the sametransmitting fax number as long as you use an abbreviatednumber or one-touch key that was designated for F-CodeBased Communication for the other number.• You CAN enter the same transmitting fax number more thanonce as long as you enter the number with different abbreviatednumbers or one-touch keys that were designated for F-CodeBased Communication.4-6Section 4 Other Features of this Fax(2) Polling ReceptionIn Polling Reception, the receiving party dials the number of thetransmitting fax, triggering transmission of the documents set in thatother fax machine. If reception of documents from more than onetransmitting fax is designated, those destinations will be dialled inorder and reception will be carried out from each fax. It is possible forthe receiving party to use the timer to have the documents receivedat a time convenient to them.* If you enter all of the transmitting fax numbers using abbreviatednumbers, one-touch keys and/or group dial keys, this fax is capableof automatically receiving documents from up to 280 different faxmachines in a single operation. However, you CANNOT enter thenumber of a transmitting fax with abbreviated numbers or one-touch keys that have been designated for Encrypted Transmission.* Polling Reception is only possible if the transmitting parties havefirst performed the necessary Polling Transmission operation.(Refer to “(1) Polling Transmission”, page 4-5.)* If you want to cancel the procedure part way through, press theReset key.
