Chapter 4 Settings — [DISPLAY OPTION] menu120 - ENGLISHNotef The backup function is enabled when [BACKUP INPUT MODE] is set to anything other than [OFF] and same signal is input to the primaryinput and the secondary input.f To switch to the backup input signal using the backup function, make sure that the following three conditions are satisfied to be ready to usethe function.g Set [BACKUP INPUT MODE] to anything other than [OFF].g Input the same signal to the primary and secondary inputs.g Display the image of the primary input or secondary input.f If the input is switched to other than the primary or secondary input while the backup function is ready for use, the state of readiness touse the backup function is canceled. To switch to the backup input signal using the backup function again, switch to the primary input orsecondary input.f When [BACKUP INPUT MODE] is set to anything other than [OFF], the combination of that input is displayed in [PRIMARY INPUT] and[SECONDARY INPUT] of the [BACKUP INPUT SETTING] screen.f [BACKUP INPUT STATUS] is displayed in the input guide (x page 130) and the [STATUS] screen (x pages 81, 166) when [BACKUPINPUT MODE] is set to anything other than [OFF].When the signal can be switched to the backup input signal using the backup function, [ACTIVE] is displayed in [BACKUP INPUT STATUS].When it is not possible, [INACTIVE] is displayed instead.The secondary input will be the backup input when [BACKUP INPUT STATUS] is displaying [ACTIVE] while the image from the primaryinput is displayed.The primary input will be the backup input when [BACKUP INPUT STATUS] is displaying [ACTIVE] while the image from the secondaryinput is displayed.f When [BACKUP INPUT MODE] is set to anything other than [OFF], the input is switched seamlessly if the input is switched between theprimary input and the secondary input while it is possible to switch to the backup input signal.f When [AUTOMATIC SWITCHING] is set to [ENABLE], and [BACKUP INPUT STATUS] shows [ACTIVE], the signal is switched to thebackup input if a disruption occurs in the input signal.f When [AUTOMATIC SWITCHING] is set to [ENABLE], the indication in [BACKUP INPUT STATUS] will change to [INACTIVE] if the inputsignal is disrupted and automatically switched to the backup input. In this case, it is not possible to switch to the backup input signal until theoriginal input signal is restored. If the input has switched to the backup input automatically, it is possible to switch to the backup input signalwhen the original signal has restored. In this case, the current input is maintained.f [BACKUP INPUT SETTING] cannot be set during P IN P. The backup operation is not performed either.f When the [DISPLAY OPTION] menu → [SIMUL INPUT SETTING] → [HDMI/DVI-D] is set to anything other than [OFF], [BACKUP INPUTMODE] which includes the DVI-D input and HDMI input in the combination of inputs cannot be selected.f When the [DISPLAY OPTION] menu → [SIMUL INPUT SETTING] → [SDI1/SDI2] is set to anything other than [OFF], [BACKUP INPUTMODE] which includes the SDI1 input and SDI2 input in the combination of inputs cannot be selected.f When the [DISPLAY OPTION] menu → [SDI IN] → [SDI LINK] is set to [DUAL] or [AUTO], [BACKUP INPUT MODE] which includes theSDI1 input and SDI2 input in the combination of inputs cannot be selected.f The primary input setting values are applied to image adjustment values such as the [PICTURE] menu → [PICTURE MODE], [GAMMA],and [COLOR TEMPERATURE].f When the combination of inputs in [BACKUP INPUT MODE] is the SDI1 input and DVI-D input or the SDI2 input and HDMI input, the backupfunction is enabled only in the following combination of signals.Primary input[SDI1]/[SDI2]Secondary input[DVI-D]/[HDMI]HD-SDI 720/60p YP BPR 4:2:2 720/60p YP BPR 4:4:4HD-SDI 720/50p YP BPR 4:2:2 720/50p YP BPR 4:4:43G-SDI 1080/60i RGB 1080/60i RGB3G-SDI 1080/50i RGB 1080/50i RGB3G-SDI 1080/24p RGB 1080/24p RGB3G-SDI 1080/25p RGB 1080/25p RGB3G-SDI 1080/30p RGB 1080/30p RGB3G-SDI 1080/60p YPBPR 4:2:2 1080/60p YPBPR 4:4:43G-SDI 1080/50p YPBPR 4:2:2 1080/50p YPBPR 4:4:4[SIMUL INPUT SETTING]Set this function when the video signal in simultaneous format is input and used.1) Press as to select [SIMUL INPUT SETTING].2) Press the button.f The [SIMUL INPUT SETTING] screen is displayed.3) Press as button to select [RGB1/RGB2], [HDMI/DVI-D], or [SDI1/SDI2].4) Press qw to switch the setting.f The items will switch each time you press the button.[OFF] This is not used for simultaneous input.[AUTO(3D)] Displays 3D images of the simultaneous format.
