Chapter 3 Basic Operations — Switching on/off the projectorENGLISH - 63Interrelation of luminance and runtimeThe projector can be operated at arbitrary brightness and duration of use by combining the settings of [MAXLIGHT OUTPUT LEVEL] and [LIGHT OUTPUT].Interrelation of luminance and runtime is as follows. Make the initial setting (operation setting) depending on yourdesired duration of use and brightness of the projected image.Values of the luminance and runtime are rough estimations.r To set the projector based on the duration of useDuration of use (hour) [MAX LIGHT OUTPUT LEVEL](%) [LIGHT OUTPUT] (%) Luminance (lm)20 000 100.0 100.0 20 00024 000 100.0 100.0 20 00027 000 100.0 88.4 17 60031 000 100.0 74.9 14 90035 000 100.0 64.3 12 80040 000 ― ― ―r To set the projector based on luminanceLuminance (lm) [MAX LIGHT OUTPUT LEVEL](%) [LIGHT OUTPUT] (%) Runtime (hour)20 000 100.0 100.0 24 29018 000 100.0 90.0 26 60016 000 100.0 80.0 29 37014 000 100.0 70.0 32 73012 000 100.0 60.0 36 90010 000 ― ― ―8 000 ― ― ―6 000 ― ― ―4 000 ― ― ―Notef Under influence of characteristics of each light source, conditions of use, installation environment, etc., the runtime may be shorter than theestimation.f The duration of use is referred to as the runtime when you use the projector successively. The duration of use is an estimated duration andis not the warranty period.f The estimated runtime is a time for the luminance to decrease to half.f If the consolidated runtime of the projector exceeds 20 000 hours, replacement of the components inside the projector may be required. Theconsolidated runtime can be confirmed in the [STATUS] screen. Refer to the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [STATUS] for details.f After completed the initial setting, the wider the combination of luminance and runtime becomes by setting the [PROJECTOR SETUP]menu → [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL] → [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL SETUP] → [CONSTANT MODE] to [AUTO] or [PC]. Refer to the[PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL] for details.
