264 STARTING AND OPERATINGTo CancelThe following conditions will cancel the Normal(Fixed Speed) Cruise Control without clearingthe memory: The brake pedal is applied. The CANC button is pushed. The Electronic Stability Control/TractionControl System (ESC/TCS) activates. The vehicle parking brake is applied. The braking temperature exceeds normalrange (overheated). The gear selector is removed from the DRIVEposition. The driver switches ESC to Full Off mode.To Resume SpeedTo resume a previously set speed, push the RESbutton and release. Resume can be used at anyspeed above 20 mph (32 km/h).To Turn OffThe system will turn off and erase the set speedin memory if: The Normal (Fixed Speed) Cruise Control on/off button is pushed. The ignition is placed in the OFF position. You engage Four-Wheel Drive Low. The Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) on/offbutton is pushed.PARKSENSE FRONT AND REAR PARK ASSISTThe ParkSense Park Assist system providesvisual and audible indications of the distancebetween the rear and/or front fascia and adetected obstacle when backing up or movingforward (e.g. during a parking maneuver). If yourvehicle is equipped with the automatic brakingfunction, the vehicle brakes may beautomatically applied and released when thevehicle is in REVERSE if the system detects apossible collision with an obstacle.NOTE: The driver can override the automaticbraking function by pressing the gas pedal,turning ParkSense off via ParkSense switch,or changing the gear while the automaticbrakes are being applied. Automatic brakes will not be available if ESCis not available. Automatic brakes will not be available if thereis a faulted condition detected with the Park-Sense Park Assist system or the BrakingSystem Module. The automatic braking function may only beapplied if the vehicle deceleration is notenough to avoid colliding with a detectedobstacle. The automatic braking function will not beavailable if vehicle is in 4LO transfer casemode. The automatic braking function may not beapplied fast enough for obstacles that movetoward the rear of the vehicle from the leftand/or right sides.
