GETTING TO KNOW YOUR VEHICLE 43The adjustable pedal switch is located on theinstrument panel, below the headlight switch.Adjustable Pedals Switch The pedals can be adjusted with the ignitionplaced in the OFF position. The pedals cannot be adjusted when thevehicle is in REVERSE or when the SpeedControl System or Adaptive Cruise Controlsystems are on. The following messages willappear on vehicles equipped with an instru-ment cluster display if the pedals areattempted to be adjusted when the system islocked out: “Adjustable Pedal Disabled —Cruise Control Engaged” or “Adjustable PedalDisabled — Vehicle In Reverse”.NOTE: Always adjust the pedals to a position thatallows full pedal travel. Further small adjustments may be necessaryto find the best possible seat/pedal position. For vehicles equipped with Driver MemorySettings, you can use your key fob or thememory switch on the driver’s door trimpanel to return the adjustable pedals topre-programmed positions. Refer to “Driver Memory Settings” in thischapter for further information.MIRRORSInside Day/Night Mirror — If EquippedThe mirror head can be adjusted up, down, left,and right for various drivers. The mirror shouldbe adjusted to center on the view through therear window.WARNING!Do not adjust the pedals while the vehicle ismoving. You could lose control and have anaccident. Always adjust the pedals while thevehicle is parked.CAUTION!Do not place any article under the adjustable ped-als or impede its ability to move, as it may causedamage to the pedal controls. Pedal travel maybecome limited if movement is stopped by anobstruction in the adjustable pedal's path.2
