By programming frequently dialed numbers, you can call and send docu-ments to these locations by means of a simple dialing operation (see page 5-22).There are two types of auto-dialing: one-touch dialing and group dialing. To programauto-dial numbers, refer to pages 5-68 and 5-74.1 to 2 Select this setting if your original consists mostly ofdark characters.Auto This setting automatically adjusts the exposure forlight and dark parts of the original.4 to 5 Select this setting if your original consists mostly offaint characters.One-touch dialingSimply press a one-touch key andthen press the [BLACK COPYSTART] key to dial the programmedlocation. A name of up to 36 charac-ters can be programmed for thelocation (a maximum of 18 charac-ters are displayed). When using F-code transmission, a sub-addressand passcode can also be pro-grammed (see page 5-49).Touch the [ADDRESS DIREC-TORY] key in the initial screen todisplay the above screen.Group dialingMultiple one-touch dial locationscan be programmed into a singleone-touch key. This is convenientfor successively sending a docu-ment to multiple locations.Full fax numbers entered with thenumeric keys cannot be stored in agroup key. First program the num-ber in a one-touch key and thenstore it in a group key.RedialingThe machine keeps the last faxnumber dialed with the numerickeys in memory.
