Press the Mute button to turn off thetelephone’s microphone when you are using the handset or when yourtelephone is in speaker phone mode. To turn off the Mute feature, pressthe Mute button again.14 Infrared Port (2102-IR only) — Receives infrared signals from ahand-held device running the Palm Operating System. See “PalmIntegration” in Chapter 6.15 Hands Free button — Allows you to answer internal (intercom) callswithout picking up the handset. To activate this feature, press theHands Free button before calls come in to your telephone. When thisfeature is enabled, the indicator is lit. When you receive an internal call,your telephone sounds a tone and activates the speaker phone.An external call (a call from outside your NBX system) rings to yourtelephone as usual.16 Telephone key pad17 MSG (Message) button — Accesses your voice mail messages throughthe NBX Messaging system.
