5 Calibration information5.5. Updating revolution counters3HAC020993-001 Revision: G370© Copyright 2004-2008 ABB. All rights reserved.5.5. Updating revolution countersGeneralThis section details how to perform a rough calibration of each robot axis, i.e. updating therevolution counter value for each axis, using the pendant.Step 1 - Manually running the robot to the calibration positionThis procedure details the first step when updating the revolution counter; manually runningthe robot to the calibration position.Step 2 - Storing the revolution counter setting with the TPUThis section details the second step when updating the revolution counter; storing therevolution counter setting with the TPU (RobotWare 4.0).Action Note1. Select axis-by-axis motion mode.2. Jog the robot to place the calibration markswithin the tolerance zone.Shown in section Calibration scales andcorrect axis position on page 368.3. When all axes are positioned, store therevolution counter settings.Detailed in section:Step 2 - Storing the revolution countersetting with the TPU on page 370(RobotWare 4.0).Step 2 - Storing the revolution countersetting with the FlexPendant on page 371(RobotWare 5.0).Action Note1. Press the button "Miscellaneous" then ENTER to select the servicewindow.xx01000001942. Select Calibration from the View menu. The Calibration window appears. If there is more than one unit connected to the robot, they will be listedin the window.xx0100000201Continues on next page
