The physical process in the switchyard is connected to these twofunction blocks via binary inputs and outputs.Four types of function blocks are available to cover most of the control andsupervision within the bay. These function blocks are interconnected to form acontrol function reflecting the switchyard configuration. The total number useddepends on the switchyard configuration. These types are:• Bay control QCBAY• Switch controller SCSWI• Circuit breaker SXCBR• Circuit switch SXSWIThe functions Local Remote (LOCREM) and Local Remote Control(LOCREMCTRL), to handle the local/remote switch. For IEC 61850-8-1 edition 2 only addcauses defined in the standard are used,for edition 1 also a number of vendor specific causes are used. The values areavailable in the command response to commands from IE C61850-8-1 clients. Anoutput L_CAUSE on the function block for Switch controller (SCSWI), Circuitbreaker (SXCBR) and Circuit switch (SXSWI) indicates the value of the causeduring the latest command if the function specific command evaluation has beenstarted.
