12-6 Maintenance Chapter 125 Clean the shaded area of the operationpanel.• Dirt and dust particles that collect on theunderside of the operation panel affect thequality of the documents you copy or send.6 Use a clean, soft, dry, lint-free clothto wipe up paper dust from the areas(shaded) surrounding the separationroller.7 When you are finished, close theoperation panel by pressing it down fromthe centre.• Be sure to close the operation panel until itlocks into place, or the unit will not functionproperly.8 Close the document tray.*9 Reconnect the power cord.Cleaning the RollersYou may need to clean the unit’s rollers after using a package of high resolution paper.This process removes paper dust from the unit’s rollers, preventing paper feedproblems.
