8.1.2 Arrhythmia Recording OptionsTable 8-1 Arrhythmia Options - First RowOption DescriptionStart Recording Starts the arrhythmia reading. If you did not fill out the Patient Data to select a patient, you receive the followingmessage: No Patient Selected. Do you want to continue without patientdata?1. Select the No tab to continue. The Enter Patient Data window opens.2. Enter the information on each page and select Save.3. Select Start Recording.25 mm/sNOTEThe initial measure-ment displayed is setin System Configura-tion > ArrhythmiaSetup.Changes the speed of the waveform on the display and printout. Changing thespeed also changes the speed at which the wiper bar moves across the display.Measurement is in millimeters per second (mm/s) and includes the followingoptions:• 25 mm/s• 50 mm/s• 12.5 mm/s - 5 mm/s• 12.5 mm/sWhen the option includes two speeds (12.5 mm/s - 5 mm/s), the first speed is forthe display and the second speed is for the printout.Changing the measurement here does not change the measurement set in Sys-tem Configuration.5 mm/mVNOTEThe initial measure-ment displayed is setin System Configura-tion > ArrhythmiaSetup.Changes the magnitude of the ECG signal on the display or in the report. Measure-ment is in millimeters per millivolt (mm/mV) and includes the following options:• 5 mm/mV• 10 mm/mV• 20 mm/mV• 40 mm/mV• 2.5 mm/mV• AutomaticThe larger the selected measurement, the larger the waveform. Only the repre-sentation of the waveform changes; signal strength is not affected.NOTEIf Automatic is selected, the system calculates the best gain basedon the peak-to-peak amplitudes of all displayed leads and the selec-ted display format.Changing the measurement here does not change the measurement set in Sys-tem Configuration.Continues on the next pageOperator Manual 8.1 Recording in Arrhythmia Mode2053535-002 Revision T MAC 2000 ECG Analysis System 81/198
