Managing network access devices 67To manage the VLAN mappings for all the network access devices in theNortel SNAS domain, first disable all the switches in the domain, then usethe following command:/cfg/domain #/vlanTo manage the VLAN mappings for a specific network access devices, firstdisable the switch in the domain, then use the following command:/cfg/domain #/switch #/vlanThe Nortel SNAS maintains separate maps for the domain and the switch.If you add a VLAN from the domain-level vlan command, you must usethe domain-level command for all future management of that mapping.Similarly, if you add a VLAN from the switch-level vlan command, youmust use the switch-level command for all future management of thatmapping.The Domain vlan or Switch vlan menu appears.The Domain vlan or Switch vlan menu includes the following options:/cfg/domain #[/switch #]/vlanfollowed by:add Adds the specified VLAN to the domain orswitch VLAN map. You are prompted toenter the required parameters if you do notinclude them in the command.• name is the name of the VLAN, asconfigured on the switch• VLAN ID is the ID of the VLAN, asconfigured on the switchThe system automatically assigns an indexnumber to the VLAN entry when you addit. If you are executing the command fromthe Domain vlan menu, the index numberindicates the position of the new entry inthe domain map.
