(See Storing One Touch dialnumbers on page 67 and Storing Speed Dialnumbers on page 69.)a Press Search/Speed Dial.b Press the dial pad keys for the first fewletters of the name. (Use the chart onEntering text on page 186 to help youenter letters.)Press OK.c Press a or b to scroll until you find thename you are looking for.Press OK.Note• If you are using LDAP names that arestored in the LDAP dialer setting, a c willappear next to the names on the LCD.• You can press Resolution to change thefax resolution.d Press Start.Note• If you do not enter a letter and press OK instep b, all registered names will appear.Press a or b to scroll until you find thename you are looking for. If you are usingLDAP you must enter the letters of yoursearch in step b.• If the LCD shows No Contact Foundwhen you enter the first few letters of thename, it means that a name for the letteris not stored.LDAP search 8If the machine is connected to your LDAPserver, you can search for information suchas fax numbers and E-mail addresses fromyour server. (For details about how to set upLDAP see the Network User’s Guide.)Fax redial 8If you are sending a fax manually and the lineis busy, press Redial/Pause, wait for theother fax machine to answer, and then pressStart to try again. If you want to make asecond call to the last number dialed, you cansave time by pressing Redial/Pause andStart.Redial/Pause only works if you dialed fromthe control panel.If you are sending a fax automatically and theline is busy, the machine will automaticallyredial one time after five minutes.
