69Web BrowserUsing Web Browser allows you to access a remote recorder, monitor live video images and search recordedvideo anytime from virtually anywhere.Start Internet Explorer on your local PC. You can run the Web Browser by entering the following informationin the address field.“http://IP address :port number” (The recorder’s IP address and the Web Browser port number (default:12088) set in the Network setup screen (Web Browser tab))Note: You will need to get the appropriate IP address for the recorder you want to connect to andthe Web Browser port number from your network administrator.Enter the “User”, “Password” and the appropriate port numbers ofthe program. And then click “OK”.You will need to enter the recorder’s IP address in the ADDRESSfield when running the Web Browser.Note: The port numbers for “Watch”, “Search”, “Audio” and“Status” should be the same port numbers used for seton the Port Number Setup screen. (Refer to “Chapter 3-- Configuration - Network setup”.Note: The maximum number of accessible users to the recorder simultaneously is the following :Watch : 4 users (including 1 Audio user)Search : 2 usersStatus : 2 usersWhen running the updated Web Browser program for the first time, Internet Explorer mightoccasionally load the information of the previous version. In this case, delete thetemporary internet files by selecting Tools Internet Options General tab, and then runWeb Browser program again.There might be a problem that the bottom of web browser page is cropped due to theaddress or status bars in Microsoft Internet Explorer. In this situation, it is recommendedthat websites open windows without address or status bars by changing the internetsetting. (Go to the Tools Internet Options Security tab Click the “Custom level…”button Select “Enable” for the “Allow websites to open windows without address orstatus bars” option)When running web browser in the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system, it isrecommended to start Internet Explorer with elevated administrator permissions. Click theright mouse button on the Internet Explorer icon and select the “Run as administrator” optionfrom the context menu. Otherwise, some functions of the Web Browser program might belimited to use.There might be a problem with screen display or screen update due to low imagetransmission speed when using the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system. In thissituation, it is recommended that you disable the Auto Tuning capability of your computer.Run the “Command Prompt” with elevated administrator permissions (Go to the StartMenu Accessories Command Prompt Click the right mouse button and selectthe “Run as administrator” option). Then enter “netsh int tcp set globalautotuninglevel=disable” and hit the enter key. Restart your computer to apply thechanges.If you want to enable the Auto Tuning capability again, enter “netsh int tcp set globalautotuninglevel=normal” after running the Command Prompt with elevated administratorpermissions. Restart your computer to apply the changes.
