8 – Remote operation : Location memories100 TASCAM DM-3200 User’s ManualNOTEIf a pre-roll time has been set (“Locate Preroll” onpage 98), the controlled device will locate to the loca-tion memory point, minus the value set as the prerolltime.Viewing a list of location memoriesTo view a popup list of all the location memorieswhich have been stored:• Press the LOCATE LIST key.• The location memory source (timecode orMTC) is shown, along with the value of eachlocation memory. The DIRECT indicator alsolights.• Press a number key (from 0 through 9) tolocate to a location point on the list while thelist is showing.Manual locationIt is also possible to enter a location point manually,(from a cue list, for instance) and locate straight to it.1 Press the MANUAL key so that the indicatorlights.2 Use the number keys to enter a number inhh:mm:ss (and optionally frames) format.3 When the ENTER key is pressed, the con-trolled device starts to locate to the locationpoint just entered.This location point can be stored by pressing theMEMO key so that the indicator flashes, followed bypressing the MANUAL key again.To locate to this point again after storing the locationpoint, press the MANUAL key, followed by theENTER key.Note that the pre-roll time (“Locate Preroll” onpage 98) does not apply here.Repeat playLocation memories 8 and 9 (accessed with the 8 and9 keys) are used as the start and end points of a repeatloop that can be played by pressing the REPEAT keyin the MACHINE CONTROL section.While the repeat loop is in progress, the indicatorflashes while the playback position is outside theloop points, and lights steadily while it is insidethem.The repeat is always between points 8 and 9, regard-less of their order. These points must be more than 5seconds apart.
