SHIMMING (FOR USA AND CANADA)6-26ELOWRExample:If "F" is "+5", then:M = 0.06 + (+5)/100 mm= 0.06 + 0.05 mm= 0.11 mm (0.004 in)If "F" is "-3", then:M = 0.06 + (-3)/100 mm= 0.06 - 0.03 mm= 0.03 mm (0.001 in)(2) Install the shimming gauge bearing ,and shim(s) .NOTE:If the original shim(s) is unavailable, startwith a 0.50 mm shim.(3) Measure the specified measurement(M).2.
