BRKT7-18CLAMP BRACKETS (MHD, WHD, ED) EREMOVING THE SHOCK ABSORBERWARNINGAfter tilting up the outboard, be sure tosupport it with the tilt stop levers.Otherwise, the outboard could suddenlylower.NOTE:Tilt up the outboard and then push-in thetilt stop levers to support it.Remove:• Power trim and tilt unitCHECKING THE SHOCK ABSORBERWARNINGThis shock absorber contain highly com-ressed nitrogen gas. Before handling theshock absorber, read and make sure youunderstand the following information. Themanufacturer cannot be held responsiblefor property damage or personal injury thatmay result from improper handling of theshock absorber.• Do not tamper or attempt to open theshock absorber.• Do not subject the shock absorber toan open flame or any other source ofhigh heat. High heat can cause anexplosion due to excessive gas pres-sure.• Do not deform or damage the shockabsorbe r i n any way. If the shockabsorber is damaged, damping perfor-mance will suffer.Check:• Shock absorberOil leaks/gas leaks/bends/damage→ Replace.11 |
