You should enter two NTP servers if possible to ensure that at leastone is available when the Webcache wishes to set the time.If you enter primary and secondary NTP server addresses and both areavailable, the Webcache automatically uses the server that has proven tobe the most reliably available to serve NTP requests.Configuring theSystem TimeManuallyTo manually configure the system time of the Webcache, you must enterthe following information in the Getting Started wizard or TimeConfiguration command in the Web interface:1 Select a timezone from the options in the Timezone drop-down list. The Webcache automatically performs daylight savings adjustmentsaccording to the timezone that you have selected.2 Choose Manual Time Configuration by clicking the appropriate radiobutton.3 Enter the current day, month, year and the current time (in 24 hour clockformat) in the appropriate fields.4 Click Apply Now or OK as soon as you have manually entered thisinformation to ensure the greatest accuracy. If you set the time manually, the Webcache may take a few seconds to beupdated. If you change the system time of the Webcache manually, some accesslog analysis tools e.g. Webtrends may discard entries in the access log. This is due to the time changes that occur within the access log followingthe system time change.dua1611-5aaa04.book Page 134 Friday, November 29, 2002 8:56 PM
