See Chapter 10 for more information about the Filter Log.An SNMP trap is automatically generated if the Webcache fails to savethe access or filter log to the FTP server.To set up the Webcache for use with an FTP server:1 Log in to the Web interface.2 Click Device on the Toolbar.3 Select System > Management > Log Offload in the Navigation Tree.4 Check Enable Log Offload to FTP Server.5 In the FTP Server Address field, enter the Domain Name Server (DNS)name or IP address of the FTP server that you want to save the access logsto.6 In the Directory field, enter the full path within the FTP server to whichyou want to save the log files.The directory can only contain alphanumeric and “/”, “.”, “-” or “_”characters and can only be up to 32 characters in length.If you are using a Windows based FTP server you cannot specify driveletters e.g. C: or my_drive:. You must configure your FTP server so thatthe FTP account that you specify in the Directory field has your desireddrive letter as its login.7 In the Username field, enter the user name for the FTP server to whichyou want to save the log files.8 In the Password field, enter the password for the username entered instep 7. The password must be between 1 and 32 characters in length.When a password has been set, ********** is displayed in the Passwordfield, regardless of how many characters the password actually has. Youcan change the password by clicking Change Password and entering thenew password.9 If you want to test and upload the log files now, click FTP Now. Enter afilename for the log and click OK.
