There may be even newer functional releases orbug fixes available for your Webcache. To receive the very latest releasesyou must purchase a support contract for your Webcache from yourreseller.You can configure the Webcache to automatically detect and downloadnew software versions, and notify you of their availability (via emailnotification; for further information, see “Email Notification” onpage 208). The next time that you log in to the Webcache, the UpgradeSoftware wizard opens and guides you through the software upgradeprocess.Alternatively, you can manually perform a software upgrade, bydownloading and locating the software upgrade file yourself.The configuration of the Webcache is preserved after a software upgradehas been performed; you do not have to re-configure the settings.3Com recommends that you configure the Webcache to automaticallydetect new software versions.Software UpgradeSNMP TrapsAn SNMP Trap is sent to your network management station when any ofthe following events occur: When the software upgrade server is not available and automaticsoftware upgrade detection is enabled.
