If you change thissetting, the change automatically applies to both SCSI channels.■ Boot SCSI ID—(Default: 0) Specifies the SCSI ID of your bootdevice. We recommend that you do not change the defaultsetting. If you change this setting, the change automaticallyapplies to both SCSI channels.■ Boot LUN Number—(Default: 0) Specifies which LUN (LogicalUnit Number) to boot from on your boot device. This setting isnot valid unless Multiple LUN Support is enabled (see AdvancedConfiguration Options on page 3-7). If you change this setting,the change automatically applies to both SCSI channels.SCSI Device Configuration OptionsSCSI Device Configuration options can be set individually for eachconnected SCSI device.Note: To configure settings for a SCSI device, you must knowits SCSI ID (see Using SCSI Disk Utilities on page 3-15).■ Sync Transfer Rate—(Default: 320) Determines the maximumsynchronous data transfer rate that the SCSI card supports. Werecommend that you leave the maximum (default) value of320 MB/sec.■ Packetized—(Default:Yes) Packetized protocol is required tooperate at 320 MB/sec. When enabled, this option is available ifit is implemented in the device drivers. However, this option isnot supported by the BIOS.■ QAS—(Default:Yes) Quick Arbitration and Selection reducesthe overhead of control release on the SCSI bus from one deviceto another. This improvement reduces command overhead andmaximizes bus utilization. When enabled, this option isavailable if it is implemented in the device drivers. However,this option is not supported by the BIOS.
