For example, the ENTER key displays asENTER, the Escape key displays as ESC, and the Backspace key displays as BACKSPACE.Table 1-3 explains the keyboard conventions used in this manual as well as the key functions.Table 1-3 Keyboard ConventionsKey FunctionENTER and RETURNThese selection keys perform the same Local Management function. Forexample, “Press ENTER” means that you can press either ENTER orRETURN, unless this manual specifically instructs you otherwise.ESCThis key lets you escape from a Local Management screen without savingyour changes. For example, “Press ESC twice” means that you must quicklypress the ESCAPE key two times to exit the Local Management screen.SPACE bar andBACKSPACEThese keys cycle through selections in some Local Management fields. Pressthe SPACE bar to cycle forward through selections and press BACKSPACE tocycle backward through selections.ArrowsThese are navigation keys. Use the UP-ARROW, DOWN-ARROW,LEFT-ARROW, and RIGHT-ARROW keys to move the screen cursor. Forexample, “Use the arrow keys” means to press whichever arrow key moves thecursor to the desired field on the Local Management screen.SHIFT-[+/=]This key combination increments values in some Local Management selectionfields. For example, “Press SHIFT-[+/=]” means to hold down the SHIFT keywhile pressing the PLUS/EQUAL key.[–] This key decreases values from some Local Management selection fields. Forexample, “Press [–]” means to press the MINUS key.DEL The DEL (Delete) key removes characters from a Local ManagementSelection field. For example, “Press DEL” means to press the DELETE key.
