Closing the blade server coverImportant: The blade server cannot be inserted into the BladeCenter unit until thecover is installed and closed. Do not attempt to override this protection.The following illustration shows how to close the blade server cover.CoverpinsComplete the following steps to close the blade server cover:1. Read the safety information beginning on page iii and “Installation guidelines” onpage 712. If you removed the blade bezel assembly, replace it now. See “Installing theblade-server bezel assembly” on page 90 for instructions.3. Lower the cover so that the slots at the rear slide down onto the pins at the rearof the blade server, as shown in the illustration. Before closing the cover, makesure that all components are installed and seated correctly and that you havenot left loose tools or parts inside the blade server.4. Pivot the cover to the closed position as shown in the illustration, until it clicksinto place.Input/output connectors and devicesThe BladeCenter unit contains the input/output connectors that are available to theblade server. See the documentation that comes with the BladeCenter unit forinformation about the input/output connectors.The blade server does not support a direct connection to a monitor, keyboard, ormouse.
