Turning the memory expansion module on and offThis topic explains how to turn the memory expansion module on and off.Because the memory expansion module is controlled by the server, turning on thememory expansion module refers to connecting the memory expansion modulepower cord into the power source and pressing the power-control button on a hostserver that is connected to the memory expansion module and is configured toidentify the expansion module. Normally, the operating system on the server starts,and the server issues a power-on request to the memory expansion module. Thememory expansion module is turned off only if the connected server issues apower-off request, and you have disconnected the memory expansion modulepower cord from the power source. You cannot turn off the memory expansionmodule manually.Statement 5CAUTION:The power control button on the device and the power switch on the powersupply do not turn off the electrical current supplied to the device. The devicealso might have more than one power cord.
