Theinternal clock starts at the moment the switch positionis changed.8 Press the HOLD button to display a time zone (timedifference between local time and Greenwich MeanTime in the display window.9 Position the TCG switch at [SET].10 Use the # and $ buttons to set the desired hoursand minutes ahead of (no sign) or behind (– sign) theGreenwich Mean Time.Example: If the local time is five hours behindGreenwich Mean Time,set the time zone to “5:00 –”.The time zone is always recorded, together with thedate and time, as metadata.See the table at right to set the time zone according toyour local time.11 Position the TCG switch at [F-RUN] or [R-RUN] toaccept the time zone.Notesz When using the camera-recorder for the first time,be sure to perform this setting beforehand. Do notchange the setting during use of the camera-recorder.z When the TCG switch is positioned at [SET],thumbnails cannot be manipulated.Notesz In Step 4, if the TCG switch is positioned at [F-RUN] or[R-RUN], this also activate the internal clock.To cancel date, time and time zone settings in process,hold down the SET button and position the TCG switchat [F-RUN] or [R-RUN].z Clock accuracy fluctuates between about ± 30 seconds permonth when the power is turned off. If more accuratetimekeeping is required, check the time when the power isturned on and, if necessary, reset the clock.When the GPS unit AJ-GPS910G is installed, and if itsuccessfully receives time information, the internal clockkeeps accurate (local) time based on the received time(Greenwich Mean Time) and the time zone. If the date andtime differ from the actual local time, the time zone may notbe set correctly. Check again, to see if the time zone is setcorrectly. (The date and time need not be set again.)z The built-in clock operates for several years on a lithiumbattery built into the camera-recorder. When the lithiumbattery is exhausted, the viewfinder indicates the message“BACKUP BATT EMPTY” when the power is turned on.
