O v e rv ie wScanThere are the following scan services.Scanner(mail transmission)Documents can be scanned and transmitted via e-mail.Scanner(save to a mailbox)Documents can be scanned and saved into a mailbox.When the machine is connected to a TCP/IP network, scanneddocuments in a mailbox can be retrieved from a networkedcomputer.Job template The job template is a configuration file for defining scanningconditions. Specify a job template for the document to be scannedin as data. Scanned document will be stored onto a hard disk onthis machine, then transmitted automatically to a networkedcomputer (server).NOTE: You can create a maximum of 500 Job Templates.Scanner(save to a computer)When the machine is connected to a network which can use eitherthe FTP or SMB protocol, the scanned document can be saved ona networked computer.Job flow scan Scanning is performed according to a job flow.E-mailThere are the following e-mail types.Scanner(mail transmission)Scanned documents can be converted into an electronic formatand transmitted via e-mail.Mail print E-mail with attachments in either TIFF or PDF format can be sentto the machine from computers. Received e-mail will automaticallybe printed.Mail notice When the machine is configured with the rejected IP addressesnotice or rejected mail domains notice, a mail notice can be sentto a specified recipient.Job completion notice When a computer has submitted a job to the machine, notificationof the completion of the job can be done by e-mail.
