WATER PUMP6-11EAS30446DISASSEMBLING THE WATER PUMP1. Remove:• Mechanical seal (impeller side) “1”(from the impeller, with a thin, flat-headscrewdriver)TIPDo not scratch the impeller shaft.2. Remove:• Mechanical seal (housing side) “1”TIPRemove the mechanical seal (housing side)from the inside of the clutch cover “2”.3. Remove:• Bearing “1”• Oil seal “2”TIPRemove the bearing and oil seal from the out-side of the clutch cover “3”.EAS30447CHECKING THE WATER PUMP1. Check:• Water pump housing• Clutch cover• Impeller shaftCracks/damage/wear → Replace.2. Check:• BearingRough movement → Replace.3. Install:• Oil seal “1”• Bearing(into the clutch cover “2”)TIPInstall the oil seal with a socket “3” that matchesits outside diameter.2.
