2 BASIC OPERATION10 Index Contents Confidential FUNC (K)/Ver. 1.012.6 Channel EntryChannel Entry can be used to directly change theCH/GID.A CH/GID number in the current zone can be selected byentering numbers after pressing the Channel Entry key.The transceiver automatically detects the highest channelnumber. Enter the number to specify the channel. Transceiver Operationz If the maximum channel number has 3 numericdigits:1. Press the Channel Entry key.The transceiver enters Channel Entry Mode.2. Enter the channel number.• Press the [1], [2] and [8] keys to recall thechannel number 128.• Press the [0], [9], and [0] keys to recall thechannel 90.• Press the [0], [0] and [7] keys to make acall to recall the channel number 7.z If the maximum channel number has 2 numericdigits:1. Press the Channel Entry key.The transceiver enters Channel Entry Mode.2. Enter the channel number.• Press the [9] and [0] keys to recall thechannel number 90.• Press the [0] and [7] keys to recall thechannel number 7.z If the maximum channel number has only 1numeric digit:1. Press the Channel Entry key.The transceiver enters Channel Entry Mode.2. Enter the Channel number.• Press the [7] key to recall the channelnumber 7.Note: If no key is pressed before the Mode Reset Timer expireswhile in Channel Entry Mode, the previous display appearson the display. If an unprogrammed channel is specified, the transceiverreturns to the channel used before the transceiver enteredChannel Entry Mode. The transceiver pauses scanning when the transceiverenters Channel Entry Mode during the scan and resumesscanning when the transceiver exits from Channel EntryMode. The transceiver canjump to a CH/GID in the same zone instantly.Home CH/GID can be changed using the PF key ifOperator Selectable Home-CH/GID is configured byusing KPG-101D.Home CH/GID can be configured by using KPG-101D.Note: Refer to Scan Function for operation if the Home CH/GIDkey is pressed during the scan.
